The Caudalie Exfoliator Duo

Caudalie Exfoliator Duo

When it comes to instant skincare gratification I can’t think of anything better than a good exfoliation session. In the time it takes to apply, buff and rinse, your complexion can be transformed from rough to smooth, and your skin will be prepped and ready to reap the full benefits of any products that you apply afterwards. It’s a little bit of magic that you can perform in your own bathroom.

However, not all exfoliators are born equal. There are some better suited to sensitive types, and others are perfect for skin that can withstand a little more buffing. You just need to find the right balance for you – and the Caudalie exfoliator collection is a brilliant place to start.

With one formula for those who require a gentler scrub, and another for moments when only a deep cleanse will do, each Caudalie exfoliator will help you to achieve fresher, clearer and softer skin.

Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream and Deep Cleansing Exfoliator

Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream

Perfect for: Sensitive Skin/Dehydrated and Dry Types

The Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream is a whipped treat of an exfoliator, crafted with an ambrosia-like blend of grapeseed oil and acacia honey. This rich moisturising base gives the exfoliator a sumptuous feel, which helps to keep your skin feeling pampered as you’re buffing away dead skin cells. In fact, the base is so rich that it takes a few seconds of massaging the Gentle Buffing Cream onto the skin before you begin feel the tiny jojoba microbeads doing their thing. The ultra-fine beads don’t feel scratchy or harsh, they just gently buff, buff, buff until you’re left with glowing skin.

This mild cream is the perfect option for those who find that their skin becomes red, sensitised and uncomfortable after manual exfoliation. If your skin is particularly reactive skin, start by using the Gentle Buffing Cream every other week, and then up the usage to a frequency that you and your skin feel comfortable with. For everyone else, start by using it once or twice a week. Over time you’ll see just how big a difference exfoliation makes to the effectiveness of your moisturiser!

Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator

Perfect for: All Skin Types, particularly Combination to Oily

At the grainier end of the spectrum is the Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator. This formula is all about clarification! It’s the one to use when your skin needs a detox, as it works to clear clogged pores and deeply cleanse congested skin to reveal a purified complexion. At the heart of the formula is a super fresh blend of menthol and grape pulp to make skin feel instantly zingy and revived, while corn micro-grains provide the scrubbing action. You’ll find that the grains are more densely infused into the Deep Cleansing Exfoliator than the Gentle Buffing Cream, which allows it to pack more of an exfoliating punch.

Although it can be used by everyone (excluding sensitive types), the Deep Cleansing Exfoliator is particularly good for combination to oily skin that becomes easily congested. Use it once or twice a week to keep skin fresh and clear – it’s your weekly SOS.

Interesting. I have not tried these two products, however I have tried several of the Vinosource line from Caudalie’s and love them from b-glowing! I might have to try the buffing cream soon.
