Nail A Rosy Glow with Nuxe

Nailing a Rosy Glow with Nuxe

Emma Signature New

Everyone knows that the foundation of a good skincare regime is your cleanser; and if there were ever a cleansing routine that made you look forward to heading into the bathroom after a long day, it’s this one.

The Nuxe Cleansers with Rose Petals collection is a French pharmacy hidden gem. It’s that perfect blend of luxury, natural ingredients and French pharmacy know-how that Nuxe always seems to nail, with a high concentration of rose damascena water in each product that boosts skin with a petal-like freshness.

Best of all? The entire collection is crafted specifically for the needs of sensitive skin. It doesn’t matter whether your skin type is extremely dry, or troublesome and oily – anyone can experience sensitivity. In response, each product promises perfect tolerance with the skin, no matter its texture or finish. It’s the stuff skincare dreams are made of…

Nuxe Cleansing Collection with Rose

The Refreshing Foam

Nuxe Micellar Foam Cleanser with Rose Petals
Fresh, foaming and a lot of fun to use, the Micellar Foam Cleanser with Rose Petals is the next step up in terms of lightness on the skin. It’s specifically created for normal to combination skin types, but I would say oily skin will love this too – it leaves skin feeling really fresh and matte after use.

A key thing about this formula is that it’s soap-free. Soap can be a big sticking point if you’ve got a complexion that is both combination and sensitive; you want that same level of cleansing effectiveness, but you don’t want your skin to be tight and reactive after use. The Micellar Foam Cleanser eliminates this struggle by swapping the soap for disodium cocoyl glutamate, which offers the same excellent cleansing care in a far more gentle way.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for normal to combination skin
• Lightweight foam texture
• Contains at least 89.7% natural origin ingredients

The Makeup Melter

Melting Cleansing Gel with Rose Petals
Slightly richer in texture is the Melting Cleansing Gel with Rose Petals, also created for a normal to combination skin type. So, if you’ve got a combination complexion, which of the two do you choose? It’s all about personal preference!

The Cleansing Gel with Rose Petals has a slightly richer texture thanks to its viscous gel formulation, which facilitates a really good massage on the skin. It’s ideal for those with combination skin who wear slightly heavier makeup, or as a perfect end-of-day cleanser. The end result is the same: matte, fresh skin that is ready for the rest of your skincare regime.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for normal to combination skin
• Rich gel texture
• Contains at least 95.3% natural origin ingredients

The Complexion Cocoon

Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk with Rose Petals
Have dry skin? Here’s your cleansing hero! The sumptuously creamy Comforting Cleansing Milk with Rose Petals is heaven on skin, with an amazing texture that allows for great skin massage. Take a moment and warm it between your hands before you massage it all over your face; breathe in the delicate aroma and enjoy the softness of its texture. It really is a joy!

This cleanser contains macadamia seed oil, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil for enhanced comfort during use. Your complexion will be feeling pampered and oh-so-soft afterwards.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for normal to dry skin
• Creamy milk texture
• Contains at least 94.1% natural origin ingredients

Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion with Roses

The Quick Cleanse

Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Petals
Love micellar waters? Then you’re in for a treat with Nuxe’s offering. Its supremely delicate formula has some serious cleansing clout, working to remove makeup from the face, lips and eyes with micellar technology, which clings to oil and not to water. Those with extreme sensitivity will love that they don’t have to rinse this cleanser off the skin with water (no rubbing or tugging here!), and that it has a hypoallergenic fragrance.

Bonus tip: If you’re an advocate of two-step cleansing, then this is the perfect first step.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for all skin types
• Thin water texture
• Contains at least 97.4% natural origin ingredients

The Ultra-Soothing Add-On

Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals
Not that many people ‘tone’ anymore; cleansing routines have become so sophisticated that there’s not always a need to go back in with another product to remove excess residue. But I’m here to make the case for the humble Gentle Toning Lotion from Nuxe, because it’s not your average formula; in fact, it’s worth not thinking about it as a toner at all. It’s the skin soother your sensitive skin is missing out on.

Firstly, there’s not a trace of alcohol (which is a real bug bear of toning lotions). The key ingredient in this is lots and lots of rose water, with a dash of witch hazel and some allantoin to boot. If your skin is exceptionally sensitive and you don’t want to use water to remove your cleanser, remove it with the Gentle Toning Lotion. Or if your eyes are fatigued and puffy from a long day at work, soak some cotton pads with this silky formula and rest it over those tired peepers. It’s a hidden gem!

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for all skin types
• Silky water texture
• Contains at least 97.4% natural origin ingredients

Nuxe Clarifying Cream-Mask with Roses

The Balancing Purifier

Clarifying Cream-Mask with Rose Petals
So, you’ve got your dream cleansing routine in the bag. Now’s the time for add-ons! The Clarifying Cream-Mask is all about perfecting the skin by drawing out impurities; but, being Nuxe, it’s done in a typically gentle way. This mask is all about the balance.

While its key ingredient is kaolin, a clay known for its absorbency and cleansing prowess, it’s softened with rose water, coconut oil and rosemary leaf water to keep it from being too drying on the skin. Don’t think that you can’t use this mask if you’ve got an oilier complexion, though – there’s also an infusion of rice powder to keep things nice and matte.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for all skin types
• Thick creamy texture
• Contains at least 97.4% natural origin ingredients

The Texture-Refining Buffer

Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals
And finally, a bathroom cabinet staple: the Gentle Exfoliating Gel. Again created with sensitive skin in mind, this manual exfoliator buffs skin with fine powdered walnut shell and litchi seed. It’s really perfect cocktailing product; dry types can add it into the Comforting Cleansing Milk with Rose Petals for extra cushioning, and everyone can add it into their usual shower gel to buff skin all over the body.

Use it once a week if your skin is sensitive or dry,  or twice a week if your skin is normal to combination.

The need-to-knows:
• Suitable for all skin types
• Honeyed gel texture
• Contains at least 92.5% natural origin ingredients
