#1 NUXE Insta-Masques

Escentual Monthly Beauty Favourites for June: Nuxe Insta-Masque Face Masks
Nuxe Insta-Masques

With a new baby on the way, my wife and I are excited about any excuse for some downtime before the busyness starts. Over the past month, we’ve found that Nuxe’s new Insta-Masques have given us both the perfect opportunity to unwind.

We’ve found that when using the Purifying and Smoothing Mask, Exfoliating and Unifying Mask and the Detoxifying and Glow Mask, all you need is two minutes of multi-masking all 3 together to make your skin glow. Each face mask has a different benefit, such as deep cleansing or exfoliating; I love using the Detox mask on my t-zone and the Exfoliating face mask on my cheeks.

#2 Decleor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Cream

Escentual Monthly Beauty Favourites for June:

Decleor Green Mandarin Essential Oils Sun-Kissed Cream

Summer is here (although you wouldn’t think so looking at the weather outside!), and I’m all about that glow-life.

I love a golden tan; however, over the years, I’ve become very aware of the dangers and ageing effects of exposing my skin to the sun. As a result, I wear SPF every day, and the skin on my face doesn’t tan, so it needs a daily bronze boost to stop me from looking too pasty, and for the skin on my face to match my body.

Decleor’s Sun-Kissed Cream adds a beautiful luminous layer of sun-drenched glow to my complexion. I guess you could say it’s like a tinted moisturiser but with a more sheer bronze effect – I like to think of it as a well-rested holiday effect in a jar. You can wear it alone for those lazy days (me, most days!), or if you prefer, use it as a base for your everyday foundation to achieve a healthy glow.

I love its buttery texture, which sheers out beautifully on the skin, and its citrus scent is perfect for the warmer months. The Green Mandarin Cream also has a multitude of skincare benefits including a cocktail of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid for a plumping and anti-ageing effect -this is the day cream that does it all, and more!

#3 bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Foundation Stick

Escentual Monthly Beauty Favourites: bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick
bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick SPF25

After trying bareMinerals’ Complexion Rescue Foundation for over a month, I now understand why the hype around this foundation is so big.

Forget what you know about stick foundations, bareMinerals has removed cakiness, the unwanted powdery finish, and most importantly, the orange undertones that are usually associated with ‘pan sticks’; finally, full coverage that looks natural.

At first, I didn’t think this foundation would be for me; hydration and oily t-zones can end up in a slippery situation, fast. But this minimalist formula (there are no nasty ingredients inside) has kept my skin looking fresh and healthy. I find a sweep of setting powder and a spritz of my All Nighter Spray is the key to making this foundation last that little bit longer too.

#4 Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Eye Cream SPF15

I hate to admit it, but I have reached my late 20’s, and I can no longer ignore those pesky under-eye lines catching up with me. As a result, I’ve been on the lookout for a formula that is not only effective but will give me the results I’m after and is kind to my sensitive skin.

Eucerin’s Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Eye Cream has launched at just the right time. With a formula that’s highly concentrated and promises to plump up even the deepest wrinkles, I had high hopes, and I wasn’t disappointed. The texture is smooth and is quickly absorbed, plus my eye area looks much more radiant and awake. It works well under my usual makeup base too!

#5 Urban Decay All Nighter Summer Solstice

Escentual Monthly Favourites for June: Urban Decay All Nighter Summer Solstice

Urban Decay All Nighter Summer Solstice Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

Everyone should own a bottle of All Nighter. No matter what your skin type is, or the makeup style you wear, it’s a setting spray that works wonders for keeping your look locked down and even improving pigment. I’ve always known this (it’s been a holy grail item of mine for years now), but it took the summer solstice edition’s release to remind me of just how good it is.

The only difference between this release and the icon is a brand new scent, which is summer-inspired if you hadn’t guessed already. It’s a delicious blend of coconut and pineapple, which I adore and can’t stop spritzing. I’ve used it every day this month, even on holiday in 30+ degree heat and can’t rave about it enough; even after hiking 12k (uphill) in soaring temperatures, my base still looked great, which is why I’ve been recommending this to anyone that’ll listen!

#6 Ultrasun Mineral SPF50 for Babies

Escentual Monthly Beauty Favourites: Ultrasun Baby Mineral Ultra-Light Sun Protection for Ultra Sensitive Skin SPF50

Ultrasun Ultra-Light Mineral Sun Protection for Babies SPF50

My search for the best sunscreen is never-ending, especially when it comes to finding one for my son. Luckily, working at Escentual, I’m always kept up to date with the latest releases, and this month, Ultrasun’s Mineral Sun Protection for Babies caught my eye. What I found interesting about this sun cream is that it’s certified organic by NATRUE and contains only mineral filters, which means there’s a physical barrier between the sun and the skin.

Both of these factors encouraged me to click ‘add to basket’, and I’m so glad that I did; the formula is extremely lightweight and blends in easily (a must-have when you have a wriggling little one), plus it has an ingredient called Ectoin, which makes it an excellent fit for sensitive skin. Who knows, maybe my search is over after all! I highly recommend this to mums looking for the highest protection that’s convenient too.
