As a collector, Guerlain’s new Rouge G Christmas edition cases were always going to be my favourite. My only problem was choosing what colour to go for; then I realised 90% of my wardrobe is black; so there’s only one option for me. If you’re feeling extra festive, you can choose from sparkly gold and a beautiful mulberry shade. The faux stud effect detail looks chic in every colour, but it was Bright In Black that stole my heart this month.

#2 The Star Lipstick
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture – High On Stars Edition – Le Rouge
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not adventurous at all when it comes to my lipstick – it’s either a nude or a beige and very little else, to be honest! But there was something about this Rouge Pur Couture High On Stars Edition that drew me in. For a start, the casing is beautiful, covered in gorgeous stars, it’s the epitome of luxe. Le Rouge is a neutral-toned, medium-dark red with a natural finish. After trying it on (just for a bit of fun!) I knew I needed to have it in my lipstick collection. I love the way it makes my teeth look whiter, and because I wear a lot of black in winter, it adds a much-needed injection of colour to my look. Could I be converted to wear more daring shades of lipstick – watch this space!

#3 The Easy Way To Unwind

I’m one of those people who will wait well over the recommended six weeks to get my haircut. Why? I can’t bear for someone to cut off my precious lengths!
My hair is thick, long and at times, completely unmanageable – and even more so in these winter months! But, luckily, this month I’ve had the Schwarzkopf Length Embracing Treatment on hand to get my heat damaged tresses back on track, on those SOS hair days. Every time I use the creamy treatment, my hair feels stronger, healthier and super-glossy – which means I can go longer between cuts (what a relief)!

As soon as I saw this palette come in, I couldn’t wait to try it. My makeup routine is all about the eyes, and these colours are perfect for exactly that. I can wear the softer tones during the day, and easily build up the sparkle for the evening thanks to the highly pigmented shades – Golden Hour being my favourite because it’s truly unique. Being compact it’s also great for those of us who are always on the go, especially with party season just around the corner!
#6 The Multi-Dimensional Fragrance
Comme des Garcons Copper Eau de Parfum Spray
When it comes to choosing a perfume, I don’t necessarily gravitate towards one olfactory family. I like fragrance to surprise me – which is definitely why I’m attracted to Comme scents. So, this new offering got me super excited! Aside from the gorgeous copper-toned bottle, it opens with a burst of blackcurrant, juxtaposed with spicy pink pepper, which hooked me instantly. It has sparkling, metallic facets – as the name Copper would suggest – but, it also has underlying warmth that cuts through the coolness, courtesy of Madagascan ginger, amber and myrrh that reveal a multi-dimensional scent that is truly extraordinary.
#7 The Christmas Party Lipstick

I’m not one to wear a lot of makeup, but when I do, I like it to be special, and it doesn’t get more special than this Ruby Cream lipstick from Lancome! My favourite shade is Sunrise Ruby, a bold red hue in an oh-so-chic button activated casing that’s the perfect companion on a night out. It feels creamy and moisturising on the lips, and it’s easy to apply thanks to the angled bullet. If you’re looking for a Christmas party lipstick – this is it!
#8 The Antidote to Dull Winter Skin

If like me you notice your skin starts to get a bit dull at this time of year then this
product is the tonic youʼre looking for. These handy little vitamin C capsules are easy to apply and contain the perfect amount of serum in every pod. I apply mine before a long soak in the bath to let the serum absorb and revitalise my skin. My complexion is left looking healthy and luminous – these are quite literally sunshine in every squeeze!
#9 The Ultimate Collectors Palette
Do I believe in love at first sight? Well, if the GUERLAIN Goldenland Palette is anything to go by then, it’s a resounding yes. I’m a bit of a palette hoarder, and this 10-shade limited edition caught my eye from the get-go. Not only is the packaging ultra-luxe, but the shades inside are too die for; they’re bold yet wearable, and there isn’t a single colour I wouldn’t wear – how often does that happen? For me, Goldenland has it all, taupes and creams for no-makeup makeup days, gold and bronze when you only want a little ‘something something’ and pops of colour, plus the all-important jet black when you want to make a statement.
