Meet the real-life stars behind our Christmas campaign #LoveEscentual. Team Member Emily told us about her amazing mum, and how she has been a rock for the whole family. With that in mind, we wanted to share their story on how they’ve dealt with this year together; which highlights why Pam was the perfect inspiration for our Skincare Heroes edit…

About Emily

Emily: I’m Emily from the merchandising team.

How has this year been different for you?

Emily: I’ve usually always got a trip away or an event to look forward to. My mum and I often attend concerts together, so for me just not being able to book something has been frustrating.

What Christmas traditions do you have, and how will you be switching them up this year?

Emily: We usually spend Christmas between our parents; this year may actually be the first year my husband and I spend on our own.

Emily: This is my lovely mum, Pam.

Tell us about your relationship with them

Emily: My mum is one of the kindest people you will meet, she always goes out of her way to help where she can. That is just one of the reasons I am proud of her.

What have they done this year that has made you smile?

Emily: With initial lockdown, it meant she couldn’t visit my gran, she is the main carer from the family so that was really hard for her. However, she still stayed positive throughout and as soon as she could safely get there, she did.

What’s the happiest memory you have with them?

Emily: I have so many happy memories but I think seeing her at a concert has to be there, my mum is a real music lover. Belting out a song with a few thousand people is good for the soul.

How do they make your Christmas extra special?

Emily: Just getting to spend the festive time with all the people I love. Mum always decorates the house to look like Santa’s grotto.

What would you like them to know?

Emily: That I am proud of her and how much I love her, I may not get to see her often but that doesn’t mean I don’t think of her.
