This Fragrance Smells Like…

Replacing the previous FLOWER BY KENZO EDT, the new-for-2021 fragrance opens with radiant, refreshing Sicilian lemon that creates a sparkling, bright palette as it dances with the instantly recognisable signature of rich Bulgarian rose, which is set against a floral backdrop. The heart is softened by parme violet before sweet, seductive and truly addictive vanilla marries together with sensual white musk in the base; as they unite, they warm on the skin to round off this subtle floral fragrance.

What’s The Story Behind This Scent?

Launched in 2021, this fragrance – along with other flowers in KENZO’s collection – is created by perfumer Alberto Morillas, who pays homage to nature, specifically the poppy. Inspired by the rare, daring sight of a delicate flower in the heart of the city, FLOWER BY KENZO is made for the modern woman trying to cut through her concrete surroundings.

You Will Love This If…

If you’re a fan of KENZO’s iconic fragrance collection, but you’re looking for a slightly fresher, lighter scent, this Eau de Toilette is the one for you. This new fragrance is a reformulation of the original FLOWER BY KENZO Eau de Toilette, built using all the same notes, but it now has an even sharper citrus start.

I personally love how subtle this fragrance is; it would make a great everyday perfume during the summer months when you want to emit understated elegance. Reflected in the use of Sicilian lemon, which is hand-picked early in the morning, this scent feels easy and joyful.

This Perfume Smells Similar To:

For me, the powdery and musky notes in this fragrance stand out. So, it reminds me of sensual floral lingerie on fresh white bed sheets as the summer sun shines through large open windows.

Is Kenzo Flower Eau de Toilette Unisex?

The floral touches of rose and violet create a traditional sense of femininity. However, the warmer, musky base notes have universal appeal.

What’s The Longevity Like?

For me the musky, vanilla base notes and powdery facets lingered on my skin for longer than anticipated; this scent certainly surpassed the two to three hour expectancy of an Eau de Toilette.

What’s Special About The Bottle?

FLOWER BY KENZO is held within an iconic glass design that clearly showcases the perfume’s floral inspiration as the long glass bottle reflects the poppy’s mission to be touched by light. If they made an urban Beauty and the Beast, I can imagine this bottle would take the place of the rose, thanks to its touch of elegance and enclosed flower design.
