The Most Important Thing About This Hair Care Collection Is…

The Elasticizer range is a big deal in the hair care industry. It’s the ‘IT’ treatment range for dry, damaged and frizzy hair; trichologists (hair/scalp experts) made it, stylists recommend it, and celebrities love it. The original Elasticizer was created for none other than Hollywood film star Audrey Hepburn. Hepburn’s hair was overworked and over-styled, so Philip Kingsley developed the formula to hydrate, protect and improve her hair’s elasticity, health and shine. Fast forward to 2022, and one Elasticizer sells every minute worldwide, plus the collection now includes a scented edition, an extreme version and more.

What Hair Type Is It For?

Philip Kinglsey doesn’t use terms like oily, normal or dry – normal is different for everyone. Instead, they focus on the diameter of your hair strands, so fine, medium or coarse. The Elasticizer and Elasti-Styler can be used by all of these hair types, but coarse hair may benefit from using the extreme version.

You Will Love This Range If…

You bleach, colour, use a lot of heat on your hair or have very damaged or frizzy hair. Perhaps you’re a fan of Olaplex and are looking for an alternative or want to start looking after your tresses – Elasticizer is a wonderful hair pampering product to work into your self-care routine 1-2 times a week. They even use it in Philip Kingsley hair salons worldwide – celebrities Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet and Georgia May Jagger are some of its A-list fans.

Hero Ingredients:

Hydrolyzed elastin plays a key role in the Elasticizer range. The flexible protein is naturally found in their hair and helps to strengthen every strand so that your hair will break less. There’s also a medley of oils in each product. Two of the key ones are castor and olive oil, both are emulsified oils that deliver hair with intense hydration, all without leaving hair greasy, which is often the case with other oils.

What Does The Range Smell Like?

As a whole, the range is scent-free; however, there is a scented version of the original Elasticizer. The Carabao Mango and Hibiscus edition will transport your senses straight to a tropical island; the Carabao mango, grown in the Philippines, is the world’s sweetest mango, while hibiscus’s soft floral tones add a touch of feminity.

How Do You Use The Products?

Elasticizer Deep-Conditioning Treatment*: It can be used as a hair mask, leave-in treatment or pre-shampoo.

To use as a pre-shampoo, apply thoroughly to wet hair in sections. Work into your hair using your fingertips, cover your coated hair with the included shower cap and leave for 10-20 minutes. Rinse well and follow with shampoo and conditioner. Or, if you prefer, apply it before bed as an overnight mask, and wash it out in the morning.

If you have fine hair apply a small amount of product to begin and add more if needed. If you notice the formula sinking in and disappearing, then apply more until your hair feels slippery. The drier your hair is, the more Elasticizer it’ll need.

Wait 72 hours after colouring/dying your hair before using the Elasticizer, as it may affect how your colour takes.

*The scented and extreme versions are also used in this way.

Elasti-Styler 5-in-1 Treatment: It will condition, strengthen, prime, tame, and add shine to your hair.

The Elasti-Styler is best used after and in-between Elasticzier treatments. To use, work a pea-sized amount through the mid-lengths and ends of towel-dried hair after your usual wash routine. Blow-dry and style as normal. Apply a small amount to dry, styled hair for extra nourishment.

What’s Special About The Design Of The Range?

Not only do the formulas make your hair feel good, but they’ll make your bathroom look good, too. Each product looks as if it should be in a salon, and that’s because Elasticizer lives in salons all over the world. Despite its minimal, chic design, the products are very user-friendly; they have squeezy tubes and pump dispensers for quick and easy use.

It’s planet-friendly, too! The Elasticizer range’s packaging is fully recyclable and CO2 negative.

Values?

The Elasticizer range is cruelty-free, plus the formulas are free from parabens, SLS and sulphates.
