The main difference is that it’s stronger, has a richer sweetness and more woody intensity; it swaps out the air-like dewy mandarin of the original to instead offer a tree of ripened mandarins, drenched in sunlight.
As soon as you spray Forte, you’re hit with juicy mandarin, which is met by a creamy sweet heart of vanilla that gives it a richer quality that the Eau de Toilette did not have. The base of the fragrance is where the Forte edition gets its sexy sensuality from, thanks to its cedarwood note.

What’s The Longevity Like?
It lasts for around six to eight hours. As I’ve tried both scents, I can vouch that the Eau de Parfum definitely offers greater longevity and projection compared to the original!
What’s Special About The Bottle?
GUERLAIN Aqua Allegoria is iconic; with one glance, you will know that Forte is part of the collection – the Aqua Allegoria fragrances are that distinct. Like the rest of the line, Forte Mandarine Basilic is bottled in a glass bottle, encased in a golden honeycomb pattern – as you take the lid off, you’ll notice a golden bee engraved in the top too.
