Headed by the essence of sage, this scent opens with fresh, tenacious notes, which create a soft and mildly peppery aroma, adding depth to the composition. This fragrance is naturalistic and earthy and smells like a humid forest undergrowth. Paired with the essence of cardamom, a resinous, spicy scent is captured. Minty, exotic and long-lasting, it was particularly this note that I could smell on my skin after a few hours.
The heart notes are driven by three blends of vetiver, derived from Haiti, Uruguay and Madagascar, adding to the perfume’s warm, deep and elegant influences. It is both smoky and salty, and the vetiver provides a slight mineral-like grounding scent.
Cedarwood and sandalwood base notes complement vetiver well, producing a slightly sweet and musky scent. The overall effect is a relaxing scent that deeply grounds and calms the wearer. This solid and dependable fragrance made me feel anchored and steady.
