L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil Review

Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil for review

I have combination skin and I’ve always struggled with oily cleansers. Too often the oil clings to my T-zone and creates a trifecta of grease that eventually results in a breakout. I really didn’t think I’d ever find one that would gently wash away all traces of makeup (including waterproof mascara!) and impurities, leaving my skin clean and super soft. But then L’Occitane’s Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil came along. This anti-ageing oil cleanser is a welcomed addition to my cleansing routine and my skin and lashes have never been cleaner.

The Most Important Thing About This Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil Is…

This cleanser removes even the most stubborn makeup – including waterproof – without stripping the skin of its natural oils. It helps to smooth the appearance of your skin with ingredients like protecting castor oil and youth restoring immortelle essential oil. Immediately after using this, I noticed how fresh my skin felt and my complexion appeared clean and clear. My skin was left feeling soft, supple and subtly scented.

What Skin Type Is It For?

This cleanser is designed for all skin types, with a focus on maturing skin.

You Will Love This If…

You’re after an oily cleanser to nourish ageing skin. Or, if you simply need help removing waterproof makeup and impurities without damaging skin or lashes. This oily cleanser is dermatologically tested, leaving skin feeling cleansed, smoother, softer, and supple. Similarly, I noticed that my pores were less visible after using this, so if that’s something you’re hoping to combat, this might be the cleanser for you.

Hero Ingredients:

This cleansing oil is enriched with protecting castor oil and anti-ageing immortelle essential oil.

What Does It Feel Like?

At first application, the cleanser feels oily on your skin. But as soon as you add a little water, it comes to light lather and your skin is left feeling soft, clean and non-greasy. After use, skin is smooth, soft and hydrated.

What Does It Smell Like?

The scent is super light and barely noticeable, especially after rinsing. But it’s a gorgeous aroma, like honey-soaked flowers. It’s fresh and warm and makes you feel comforted.

How Do You Use The Product?

Take one or two pumps and massage it into a dry face and neck. Work into a light lather with a little water, then rinse well.

What’s Special About The Design?

The thing that I particularly love about the design is the pump bottle, which ensures you don’t over-pour the oily cleansing liquid. I think this 200ml bottle would last a while, because you only need to use a small amount to remove makeup and impurities.

Values?

This cleanser is made with organic fair-trade immortelle from Corsica. It’s vegan-friendly and made from 95% readily biodegradable ingredients.
