L’Occitane Shea and Orange Blossom Cleansing Face Cream Review

L'Occitane Shea Butter Shea and Orange Blossom Cleansing Face Cream for review

Sometimes you try a product and just know it was designed with your skin type in mind. That’s exactly how I felt when I tried L’Occitane’s Shea and Orange Blossom Cleansing Face Cream. Gentle, softening and ideal for all skin types including sensitive, this cleanser leaves skin feeling smooth, fully cleansed and relaxed with a subtle and calming scent of orange blossom.

The Most Important Thing About This Cleansing Face Cream Is…

It doesn’t dry out skin! The one thing my skin hates about cleansing, is how tight and dry it can become afterwards. Just because a cleanser removes impurities and makeup, doesn’t mean it should strip your skin of moisture, too. This cleanser is hydrating and leaves skin feeling soft and totally calm.

What Skin Type Is It For?

This cleansing cream can be used on all skin types, including sensitive skin.

You Will Love This If…

Like me, your skin is sensitive and quite often becomes irritated by chemical-heavy cleansers. This cleansing cream is made with 94% ingredients of natural origin, making it the ideal choice for sensitive, easily irritated skin. Also, this is a fully vegan formula so would be suitable for someone that is looking for an animal-product-free cleanser.

Hero Ingredients:

The shea butter in this cleanser ensures skin is gently cared for mid-cleanse. Orange blossom floral water envelops your skin in softness and provides a subtle relaxing scent that calms the senses. These hero ingredients ensure that post-cleanse, your skin remains hydrated and is silky smooth to touch.

What Does It Feel Like?

The cleanser is a rich cream that smoothes over skin and comes to a lather when mixed with water. The cream feels gentle on the skin, like it’s barely even there while the relaxing orange blossom scent relieves all your stresses of the day, giving you a spa-like vibe. I felt totally zen after using this to cleanse my face.

What Does It Smell Like?

Powdery orange blossom. It’s soft, subtle, sweet and calming and definitely my favourite cleanser scent. As someone that usually avoids scented cleansers due to a fear of irritation, I couldn’t praise this enough. There’s absolutely no repercussions from using this lightly scented cleanser, it’s barely there and leaves a subtle, pleasant aroma on the skin.

How Do You Use The Product?

Massage this cleanser into a damp face and neck in the morning and at night and rinse off. Avoid contact with the eyes.

What’s Special About The Design?

The cleanser is packaged in a squeezy tube, handy to control the amount you use. Aesthetically, it’s really simply designed, reflecting the natural ingredients used in the formula.

Values?

The cream cleanser is vegan-friendly and made with 94% natural origin ingredients. It’s pH friendly and made from 100% readily biodegradable ingredients. The shea butter within is organically fair-trade and the formula was tested by dermatologists.
