Stop what you’re doing. There’s a specific skincare line that I need you to know about! To the point, and dare I say it, an alternative to surgical procedures, NIOD (aka Non Invasive Options In Dermal Science) is here to change the game and your complexion.
Sitting pretty under the DECIEM brand umbrella, NIOD is known as a skincare range for the hyper-educated. Mixed together with groundbreaking ingredients and complex explanations, the founder of NIOD, Brandon, doesn’t mind that the ranges appear complicated. His pleasure comes from the satisfaction you’ll receive when learning about the products and trying their amazing results for yourself.
I’ve taken it upon myself to give you the lowdown of this extensive and innovative collection, with a guide that’s strictly clear, concise and comprehensive. Sold? I know I am – let’s get exploring, all questions are welcome!
Major NIOD need to know: NIOD works on a long term basis, as the products are developed to target skin cells. If you’re looking for instantaneous results, head on over to Ceryn’s Hylamide Guide to find your fix. NIOD doesn’t work with skin types, but chooses to target concerns with its results-driven range of skincare.
NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1% (CAIS)
Main job: Promote skin’s health
Why you need it:
Copper peptides currently live in our bodies but decrease as we age (the levels drop by a staggering 70% when we reach our 60s). These peptides are essential for tissue repair from stress, hormones, and pollution. Therefore, Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1% acts as an empowering support system for your skin, improving your skin’s health dramatically from the core.
How does it work:
No copper features in the solution. It uses a push-pull technology, which allows cells to permeate for specific recovery. The 1% solution uses copper peptides to teach your skin how to act. Call it a serum immune system for your skin, which will start working within 5 days. If your skin has suffered a trauma, opt for the Copper Amino Isolate Serum 5%. It can be used around the eyes – unless you have puffiness or an infection.
Most common customer question: How do I use it?
Our response: Mix the serum and the activator and shake well. Use twice a day, and don’t worry, it’s supposed to turn blue – don’t panic!
NIOD Photography Fluid
Main job: Making you look incredible in photos
Why do you need it: Perfect skin is an illusion… and the NIOD Photography Fluid will help you to achieve just that. The tone-correcting formula makes your skin look more naturally pleasing to the eye, both on and off camera.
How does it work? A wide range of next-generation blurring prisms, hue correctors (no pigments at all) and texture-correcting technologies make the skin appear naturally flawless, but more importantly through the camera lens.
Most common question? Can I use this with foundation?
Our response: Of course, mix it in or use as a primer to balance out your skin tone.
NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate (FECC)
Main Job: Targets ageing and dark circles.
Why you need it? If you suffer from dehydration lines and dark circles, Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate has your name written all over it. Not your average eye treatment, the FECC contains 28 different proven ingredients to tighten and brighten your upper and lower eyelids. Believe it or not, this is the most well-rounded eye concentrate I’ve ever come across!
How does it work? It’s thin, water-like consistency is infused with a super concentrated level of biotechnology, polyphenols and peptide technologies which lift different types of lines, including horizontal and vertical. Visible results will start to show within 3 days, showing an improvement in colour and firmness by 8 weeks.
Most common question? Can this work for sensitive skin?
Our response: Absolutely, we checked with this out with the DECIEM experts and sensitive skin is a go!
NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex (MMHC)
Main job: Target signs of ageing
Why you need it? Hyaluronic acid is a natural agent found in the skin which allows us to retain moisture, which is crazy important in the process of skin ageing and preserving a healthy, plumped complexion. The Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex contains 12 types of hyaluronic acid that penetrate the subcutaneous layer of your skin (directly below the dermis and epidermis – that’s deep).
How does it work? The Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex theoretically orders your skin to produce more of its own hyaluronic acid, whilst delivering lubrication and comfort to the layers of your skin where hyaluronic doesn’t appear naturally. This ensures your skin stays plumped and hydrated throughout the day.
Most common question? How do I use it?
Our response: Combined with CAIS, this duo is more powerful than a vitamin C treatment. If you use NIOD CAIS, apply MMHC after. Or if you’re looking to use alone, use in place of a serum. MMHC can be used around your eyes – unless you have puffiness or an infection.
NIOD Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester (LVCE)
Main job: Removing makeup and impurities
Why you need it? Call it a modern day micellar, without added the detergents. The Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester will gently and effectively remove all impurities from your skin without interfering with your skin’s natural balance.
How does it work? Modern esters are far more able to solubilize makeup than oils and they are more understood and purified than complex oils. Its innovative texture uses isolated sugars and avocado esters to clean your skin. Added penetration-enhancing glycol ethers also work to improve absorption of all of your other skincare too. No minerals oils here!
Most common question: Do I use it with water?
Our response: LVCE can be used with or without water. It’s completely up to you. For heavier makeup application, use water.
Over to you!
