Anyone else feeling the heat? And by that, I’m not talking about the weather, I’m talking about Jimmy Choo Fever, the new Eau de Parfum that’s about to set your temperature rising…
Described as a floral gourmand with a dark, hypnotic side, Fever’s main purpose is to make you feel glamorous and borderline untouchable, and to me, that sounds like the kind of fragrance I’d like to get to know.
A complete story of seduction, Fever’s sexy campaign and dark pink bottle (fans of colour theory will know that this is associated with love and romance), has me intrigued me to find out, is Fever really as sensual as it sets out to be? Wish me luck…
Warm, dark and addictive are the three words I’d use to describe this perfume. When I first sampled Fever, I could instantly picture a backless LBD and an effortless, bouncy blow dry paired with a smouldering smokey eye. Its sex appeal is classy, and a little bit more than meets the eye.
Without trying too hard, the sweetness of its sticky plum nectar and lychee notes is what pulls you in. Once you’re under, a cloud of heliotrope acts as if it’s powdering your nose, perfecting your confidence to make you stand that little bit taller. It’s not until the dry down and the scent warms on your skin you feel the sultry-side of you come out to play; the darkness of benzoin almost has a liquor-like effect, hypnotising you to believe you smell like a goddess, but the best thing about it all is, you actually do.
What do other people think of Jimmy Choo Fever?
Here’s what happened when I asked 4 of my colleagues to tell me what they thought about the Fever perfume on my skin…
”It’s a comforting kind of sexiness; it’s not brash in the slightest.” – Ceryn
”It’s not ‘fruity-fruity’, sweet. It’s a mature kind of sweet.” – Tom
‘’That’s so smooth, it smells like someone who naturally smells really good, rather than someone who’s trying to smell good.’’ – Emma
”Ooh! It’s even better on you than it is from the bottle’’ – Richard
Will I like Jimmy Choo Fever?
If you’re drawn towards sweet floral fragrances, you’ll love Fever‘s feminine side. It’s not too light for summer, or too dark for winter. It’s the perfect happy medium all year round. If you’re thinking this Eau de Parfum may be a little too much for the day (I might be biased because I love strong fragrances), I think Fever’s soft side turns heads for the right reasons. It smells elegant, endearing and empowering, so I think it’s perfect for a day at the office or for a night out with friends.
Still not sure? Due to Fever’s sweet start, floral core and creamy base, I know that fans of Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb Nectar and YSL’s Black Opium will love this composition, so it’s perfect if you’re in the marketing to try something new.
Original Jimmy Choo fans, Fever is a completely different scent. The chypre character of Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum is corrupted with creamier, more resinous facets to create a wilder, alluring energy; however, you can definitely sniff out an elegant Jimmy Choo thread there, ready to pull it all together. Fever is definitely a fragrance that you should get to know!
