“I’ve been treating this serum-like my morning glass of OJ! La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C10 serum has revamped my morning skincare routine. It only takes me two minutes to apply, and it sinks into my skin instantly, making it easy to fit into my daily beauty routine.
When it comes to vitamin C serums, I’ve found a lot of formulas can be overpriced, heavy and make my skin feel greasy. It’s great because this serum is affordable, feels light, and leaves my skin moisturised and visibly brighter.
I have sensitive, combination skin prone to redness, so it’s a relief to find a vitamin C formula that doesn’t cause skin irritation and actually works on wrinkles. Given my pale skin, uneven skin tone is also a problem area of mine, but the serum has improved the texture of my skin and complexion in a week. “Over the past five days, I’ve been using Pure Vitamin C10, by La Roche Posay, as directed each morning. Although I haven’t yet noticed any anti-ageing benefits, I’ve noticed a few other positives.
Firstly, let’s talk about the serum’s skin smoothing effects. With the inclusion of salicylic acid – a known exfoliant – it’s no surprise that Pure Vitamin C10 left my face feeling super smooth. This made it ideal for the smoother application of my foundation and concealer. The product also accommodated for my, usually sensitive, skin. In fact, the redness around my nose and cheeks has dissipated, leaving a more regular skin tone in its place.
I just love the hydrating feel this formula provides. A good night’s sleep will often make my face feel puffy and dry, but the serum helped me to feel fresh and ready for the day ahead. My only qualm was the sticky feeling it left on my hands after I applied it.
But, what about the packaging? I have to say I found the luxurious glass packaging to be ideal. Not only is the pipet easy to use, but it’s also hygienic – no double-dipping required. It seems Pure Vitamin C10 ticks almost all the boxes.”

Practical, velvety and plumping throughout the day, I noticed it enhanced the results of my evening cleanse; as though that dose of vitamin C further clarified on removal. I think those concerned with blackheads could benefit from this.
Like most La Roche-Posay products, thermal spring water gave the serum fluidity and comfort, while the pipet made it easy to apply. One morning I blended with tinted moisturiser which worked well, I think the same could work for foundation.
Overall I noticed a difference to clarity, blackheads on nose and two deep-set wrinkles on my forehead. I was also happy to learn the packaging would reflect UV damage and keep the serum fresher for longer, kind of like La Roche-Posay and my skin! SPF essential.”

What I first noticed, and loved, is that the light, non-sticky formula melts beautifully into the skin and provides a perfect base for makeup. “I have been using the La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C10 serum for a few days now – morning and evening as instructed, and Iove the results so far. I suffer from dry skin, so this serum has been perfect for hydrating my skin and has left it feeling much softer. It also gives you a glow which is perfect for sunny spring days as it acts as a makeup base meaning you get that dewy look with minimal makeup!
I love that this product is an antioxidant as I live in a city, so I feel that having that barrier is great for my skin. I always try and buy vegan beauty products, so that was another benefit of this serum.
One thing to be careful of when using this product is that its exfoliating elements make your skin peel slightly (this is what makes it radiant) meaning that fake tan fades quicker than usual. However, it is deeply hydrating where tan can tend to dry you out, so it’s worth it! “Having naturally dry skin, La Roche-Posay’s Pure Vitamin C10 Serum has provided the right level of moisture to my face – smooth but not too oily. Its morning application is ideal as I find that my skin is most dry straight after my wake-up shower (and I find it best to hydrate my face before starting on my makeup!) I love that sensitive skin is also catered for as I haven’t always found that and other brands that often leave my face stinging. Its scent is subtle and feminine, and I only need a few drops to cover my whole face (not forgetting under the chin and neck!). So while the product is more than I usually pay, I can see it lasting a good while. After a few daily uses, I’ve noticed that my foundation is absorbing into my skin better, and my boyfriend reckons, I look more radiant. I’m only young, but I can see La Roche-Posay giving me the magic wand to slower ageing skin; what more does a girl need?”
“Having used many vitamin C products and serums, the C10 is the frontrunner. The texture is not too oily, but it is enough to give a natural shine. This means that you could quite easily just use the product and a moisturiser and be confident and ready for the day. However, I would recommend waiting a good while before moisturising as the texture can get a bit too oily.
I started popping it on immediately after I woke up, after washing my face allowing it to sink into the skin. This just means that my foundation is fully blended, rather than appearing as if it was sitting on the skin. I would also consider using it perhaps once every other day. The surface of my skin is definitely more radiant, and the redness of my eyelids is muted.
The Vitamin C10 is absolutely something I would inject into my normal skin care routine, as a supplement rather than for everyday use. I expect with longer usage my skin would appear brighter and more vibrant.”
“I have been using it for a week, and the result is surprising. Due to stress and lack of sleep, my skin has been looking very dull. I have used different serums to improve my skin in the past; however, the ones I was using before were very greasy and hard to be absorbed.
