How has being a father changed you?
Although my daughter isn’t here yet, it has massively changed me. The amount of DIY jobs that have been completed in the last 8 months has been crazy.

What’s the most rewarding thing about becoming a dad?
It will probably be that look in her eye as she looks back at me, as that’s the thing I’m looking forward to most; that and the first time she grabs my hand/finger.

What’s the best advice your father gave to you that you wish to pass on?
To spend quality time with those you love, be it chilling in the garden, fixing a car, going on a trip or an afternoon chin wag. Make time for those you love and want to keep in your life. People come and go, but good friends become like family.

What are you hoping to receive this Father’s Day?
Apart from a bundle of joy, tools for my garage, and typical dad stuff, I’m partial to a Sunday scrub in my routine, and my current one is almost running out, so a Nuxe Reve de Miel Deliciously Nourishing Body Scrub wouldn’t go amiss!

How has being a father changed you?
Becoming a parent has made me a more responsible person, in that, I’m now thinking a lot more about the future, my health, and how my behaviour and actions will reflect on my son.

What’s the most rewarding thing about becoming a dad?
Seeing my son’s face light up when I walk into a room is rewarding enough, though the knowledge that one day he’ll be experiencing some of the books, films and music that I love for the first time is a hugely exciting and rewarding prospect.

What’s the best advice your father gave to you that you wish to pass on?
Music plays a big part in my life, as it had in my family home growing up. My father recently asked me if I’m still making music and I told him that I hadn’t had the time to practice recently; he said that if Thomas (my son) took an interest in music, I could teach him to play. The lesson I’d like to pass on to Thomas is not to give up on your interests, as shared interests can be great opportunities for bonding and spending quality time with loved ones.

What are you hoping to receive this Father’s Day?
I’m just looking forward to spending the day with my wife and son, though some Diesel Only the Brave Tattoo would be an added bonus!

How has being a father changed you?
Being a father has been an enriching experience for many reasons. I plan for the future now. I have concrete aims for the long term future, revolving around: lifestyle, work, leisure and living environment.

It’s led me to appreciate the importance of strong relationships and community. The quote “It takes a village to raise a child” is spot on. As a consequence, I now make more of an effort to maintain friendships and build new relationships. Finally, I feel a great sense of satisfaction!

What’s the most rewarding thing about becoming a dad?
Seeing the joy my daughter brings to other people. All of my extended family adore her and love spending time with her. Whenever we go out, most people smile or say hello to her. It’s amazing to think that we brought a person into the world that brings other people happiness.

Also – the cuddles! I never appreciated cuddles before my daughter came along, but now, after a long day away from her, there is nothing better than picking her up and having a cwtch.

What’s the best advice your father gave to you that you wish to pass on?
My father has always told me that caring for my mother is the most important thing in life. I now appreciate this advice more than ever before, having seen my partner go through pregnancy and devote most of her life to caring for our daughter.

Other than that, he often spoke about the importance of education, especially reading to seek knowledge. I love the idea of teaching my daughter. And I’ll always keep some books around the house to stimulate her curiosity!

What are you hoping to receive this Father’s Day?
Yves Saint Laurent Kouros Eau de Toilette because it brings back happy memories of my father from when I was a child. Before leaving the house, he’d shower, shave, put on fresh clothes, douse himself with Kouros, and then walk through the living room to pinch my cheek needlessly hard and say bye. I was left with an aching cheek and the lingering smell of Kouros!

The distinct masculine scent of Kouros always reminds me of my Dad’s ways and how I was in awe of him. I’d often sneak into his room when he was out and use it myself.
