The Top Nuxe Products You Need to Know About

Review of bestsellling Nuxe products

Have you ever found yourself thinking that effective skincare means boring packaging, potent scents and unpleasant textures? If so, then think again: Nuxe blends nature, efficiency and sensoriality.

Nuxe’s founder, Aliza Jabès, was passionate about beauty and plant properties even from a young age. So, she developed Nuxe to provide ultra-effective skincare that centres around nature – but with a touch of indulgence.

With best-selling icons including the luxurious Huile Prodigieuse oil and the nourishing Reve de Miel lip balm, Nuxe have successfully placed themselves as a global player that’s now present in nearly 60 countries. So, if you want to learn all about some of their most well-loved items – and more importantly, why they’re so popular – read on…

1. The Cult Classic Oil

A review of nuxe products which features nuxe product - Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil Spray - Face, Body and Hair

There’s a reason why Nuxe’s Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil Spray takes the top spot; one bottle is sold around the world every 11 seconds.

For Nuxe, it all began with this dry oil; it was the very first product released, so we love that it’s still at number one. Created when Aliza Jabès was expecting her first child and she found herself wanting a natural, lightly fragranced and fuss-free moisturiser, the multi-use oil is loved worldwide.

The thing I love most about this nourishing oil is that it’s suitable for the face, body and hair, so you can fully benefit from its 98% natural-origin formula from top to toe (and of course, it’s great to pop into travel bags!) I love to use it as a hair mask; I pop it on for ten minutes before washing my hair to give my locks a deep treatment.

The original formula contains seven 100% botanical oils to nourish, repair and beautify but the oil has also been reimagined and revamped over the years to cater to your skin’s specific needs. In 1998, Huile Prodigieuse Or was released to add an illuminating touch of glamour using golden pearlescent particles, while Huile Prodigieuse Riche is perfect for very dry skin.

The sun-kissed orange blossom, magnolia and vanilla fragrance that laces the original oil is also just as popular as the oil itself – that’s why it inspired the Nuxe Prodigieux Le Parfum perfume collection. But if you’re looking for something different, Huile Prodigieuse Florale offers a fresher, lively alternative as its scent blends delicate citrus with white florals.

2. The Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Reve de Miel Honey Lip Balm

The Reve de Miel Honey Lip Balm is one of my favourite Nuxe products – although I must admit that I’m not alone because it’s another iconic product.

It’s perfect for lips that need a more intense boost of hydration – think, chapped lips in the winter months – as it’s packed with a number of nourishing ingredients. Using 90% natural origin ingredients, the balm blends honey, botanical oils, shea butter, beeswax and propolis to soothe, hydrate and repair dry, damaged lips.

If that isn’t enough of a reason to crave this rich, melting lip balm, the honeyed citrus and grapefruit aroma is fresh, juicy and uplifting (and yes, I’ll admit that I was initially drawn to the lip balm just from the description of the scent.)

3. The Calming Cleanser

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Very Rose 3-in-1 Soothing Micellar Water

We’ve all been there; we’ve used a cleanser or an exfoliator that’s been too harsh on our skin and ended up suffering as a result. But that’s why I love Nuxe’s Very Rose 3-in-1 Soothing Micellar Water; it makes cleansing effective while still respecting sensitive skin.

But just because it’s comforting, don’t be fooled into thinking that you’ll struggle to remove your makeup. (I’ll admit there have been times in the past where I’ve woken up to discover makeup remains from the night before!)

The 97% natural origin formula washes away makeup and impurities on the face and eyes while still respecting the skin’s natural balance. And because cleansing and even water can dehydrate the skin, the micellar water is enriched with a 100% botanical-origin Skin-Respect Complex to hydrate and strengthen skin.

But it wouldn’t be a Nuxe product if it didn’t feel and smell luxurious too, so the refreshing, no-rinse micellar water leaves the complexion feeling fresh and soft as it charms the senses with a pretty, delicate rose scent.

4. The Skin-Saving Body Balm

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Reve de Miel Melting Honey Body Oil Balm

If you’re as obsessed with the Reve de Miel lip balm as I am, then I’ve got you the next best thing: the Reve de Miel Melting Honey Body Oil Balm.

It’s designed for dry to very dry skin (but works just as well on all skin types!) And as a part of the Reve de Miel range, it celebrates all-things-honey, a natural ingredient that not only tastes delicious, but is also known to comfort even the driest skin.

I must admit that I have a dangerously sweet tooth, so anything honey-related is an instant win with me! And although this smells good enough to eat, the thing I love most about this is the way Nuxe use honey in the formula itself; the balm uses a harmonious blend of honey and botanical oils to help preserve the skin’s natural barrier, which helps keep moisture locked in for skin that’s silky smooth. And don’t worry about sensations of irritation caused by dry skin, the balm will soothe those too.

And as Nuxe don’t want you to have to choose between results and pleasure, the balm has a melting texture that transforms into a delicate oil when massaged into the skin – without feeling sticky or greasy. Even the scent celebrates bees as the aroma drizzles honey over floral mimosa and creamy vanilla.

5. The Two Minute Face Mask

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Insta-Masque Exfoliating and Unifying Mask

We all want to achieve a smooth, luminous complexion but we don’t always have the time to sit around and wait for it…enter: Nuxe’s Insta-Masque Exfoliating and Unifying Mask.

I absolutely love face masks, but the reality is that I sometimes want all of the benefits of a face mask without having to take the time to apply it, wait for fifteen minutes – hoping that the mask doesn’t run while I’m trying to relax – and then begin the removal process. But Nuxe had this in mind when creating the Insta-Masque range.

The mask helps buff and even out skin tone in just two minutes, so it’s a great quick-fix for dull complexions. The 98.3% natural origin formula soothes and softens with rose floral water, nourishes with macadamia oil and gently exfoliates the complexion using ultra-fine, natural-origin powders. As it’s so gentle, it’s even suitable for sensitive skin.

And just because you only need to leave it on for two minutes before rinsing it off, that doesn’t mean that the face mask isn’t enjoyable. The gel transforms into an oil when massaged in as the delicate rose and violet scent envelops skin.

6. The Nourishing Hand Cream

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream

With regular hand-washing, cold weather and detergents, hands can often feel dry, rough and in need of nourishment, so it doesn’t surprise us that the Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream is so popular.

Recently, I’ve been using hand creams more than ever, but I still want to enjoy a delicious scent and comfortable texture when doing so. And Nuxe doesn’t disappoint: the hand cream is perfumed with the subtly sweet aroma of gooey, golden honey, but it also works hard.

The silky, non-greasy hand cream has a 90% natural origin formula that intensely moisturises and repairs dry, damaged hands. Plus, I love the fact that it also protects against premature ageing; we often think about skin ageing on our face but forget that our hands can often give away our age just as easily!

As a top tip, this hand cream works perfectly after a manicure or after removing nail varnish to give your hands a TLC treatment; the cream even helps strengthen nails.

7. The Long-Lasting Moisturiser

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute 48Hr Moisturising Cream

If you’ve ever suffered with skin that feels taut and uncomfortable – and maybe you’ve even started to see fine lines appear – your skin might be dehydrated. Due to external factors, skin can become dehydrated even if you don’t have dry skin. So, Nuxe’s Creme Fraiche de Beaute 48Hr Moisturising Cream for normal skin provides a dose of hydration to thirsty skin.

The main thing I love about this face cream is that it offers 48-hour hydration; 24 hours just won’t cut it! It makes skin feel ultra-moisturised, soft and soothed as it melts in, thanks to a clever blend of plant milks. And as pollution is often a leading contributor to skin dehydration, the cream also features high-text red algae extract to protect against the damaging effects of pollution – and this ingredient also helps boost hydration. Finally, almond blossom and orange blossom help soothe and soften skin further; I loved how fresh and comfortable my complexion felt after testing this out.

And let’s not forget the sensorial elements! The ‘melting butter’ texture feels soft and nourishing as you apply it – and the citrusy petitgrain, sweet orange blossom and cosy cedar scent is just as comforting.

8. The Overnight Anti-Ageing Balm

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Boost Night Recovery Oil Balm

I’ve spent years living or working in a city, and all too often forgotten about the role it plays on my skin. But sadly, stress, pollution and fatigue can all wreak havoc on skin. Nuxe’s answer is the Creme Prodigieuse Boost collection, and the Night Recovery Oil Balm takes spot number eight in our line up.

The overnight balm is perfect for anyone between 25 and 39 years of age who lives in an urban setting. And as I’ll be turning 23 this year, I’m starting to become more aware of the effects of stress and pollution on the skin – so, I’m already lining this face cream up for the not-so-distant future!

The formula helps protect against free radical damage and promote skin firmness and elasticity. But the star of the show has to be Nuxe’s patented ingredient, calendula flower. This floral extract boosts antioxidant activity to rival vitamin E to fight against early wrinkles (because sadly, signs of ageing can start to show from as young as 25).

Its ultra-cocooning texture feels soft without feeling greasy as macadamia oil nourishes the complexion as you sleep. Of course, it would be wrong if I didn’t mention the scent; heady jasmine, tangy pink lychee and sensual musk…need I go on?

9. The Solution to Ageing Eyes and Lips

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Nuxuriance Ultra Eye and Lip Contour Cream

The eyes and mouth area can often give away your age, as dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles and sagging start to show. So, the Nuxuriance Ultra Eye and Lip Contour Cream has been designed to target these two areas.

The eye and lip cream is perfect for anyone in their 50s, and it acts on wrinkles, dark spots, dark circles and puffiness. The secret behind the formula is unique Bi-Floral Cells®, which Nuxe have created by encapsulating regenerative saffron flowers within bougainvillea plant cells. This helps generate new major skin cells to encourage smooth, dense skin.

The cream also releases a refined white blossom and sandalwood scent that’s suitable for the delicate skin around the eyes and lips – so even sensitive skin can benefit.

I love that this cream is suitable for the lips and the eyes; not only does it help nurture and rejuvenate both of these delicate areas, but it also saves space on your dressing table or in your makeup bag.

10. The Tan-Enhancing SPF

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Sun Tanning Oil for Face and Body SPF30

If you dream of having a golden tan and think that the best way to achieve that is by skipping sunscreen, think again. It’s important to wear sunscreen to keep skin guarded against sunburn, photoaging and more severe damage, and thankfully Nuxe’s Sun Tanning Oil for Face and Body SPF 30 helps protect skin while helping you achieve that perfect tan. The non-greasy oil offers broad-spectrum defence against UVA and UVB rays.

It even protects cells from ageing, and keeps skin hydrated and soothed in the sun using Water Hyacinth Oleoactive® and kau pe flower. And the scent helps you dream of a tropical paradise wherever you are by blending sweet orange, Tahitian gardenia and creamy vanilla.

11. The Effortless SPF 50 Sunscreen

A review of Nuxe products which features Nuxe Sun Melting Spray SPF50

If you like the sound of the tanning oil but you want a higher SPF to protect against harmful UV rays and photoaging all year round, the Sun Melting Spray SPF50 is a great choice.

I love the handy spray format because you can keep your face and body guarded against UV rays, UVB rays and skin dehydration. It even helps prevent premature photoaging and the appearance of dark spots for a more youthful look.

The mist is very lightweight and absorbs with ease – and thankfully, it doesn’t leave a white film. And you guessed it, it has the same additive fragrance as the whole sun collection. Sweet orange, Tahitian gardenia and vanilla; its summer in a bottle.
