When we smell fragrances, we are inspired to think of many things that are more than just the notes within. We smell in textures and imagine the fabrics perfumes remind us off. We also think of memories, people, places and sounds – things in real life that we can tie to the abstract concept we are smelling. One of the most obvious ways we experience fragrance is through colour, whether that be vivid reds or vibrant pinks, or delicate greys or soft beiges. Very rarely do I describe a fragrance as being heartbreakingly beautiful, but Honour Woman could shatter even the stoniest of hearts. There is a melange of white florals here: tuberose, jasmine, gardenia and lily of the valley, each of which comes together to paint, in wide brush strokes, the image of a woman in shades of ivory, beige and white. It’s stunning.

If the other fragrances in this list evoke pure white, Meteorites is reminiscent of finely milled white powder with a glint of iridescence. It’s a pearlescent fragrance that blends apple, rose, violet and white musk to create something unashamedly cosmetic in feel.
