If you are someone, like me, who has oily, acne-prone skin, Benefit Smooth Sip is for you. I felt confident in swiping this across my whole face, and didn’t worry about popping it on my greasy areas. It didn’t break me out, I did notice a difference in my pore size immediately after. Whether this was just the post-skincare sheen, or a true decrease in the obviousness of my pores, I cannot yet confirm. I’m going to keep trying this out to test it over a period of time, but only have good things to say so far.

On mornings when I am too sleepy, I have just slapped this on and felt so much fresher and ready to face the day. I feel confident in knowing it both is working to enrich my skin whilst also addressing the problem area of my enlarged pores.

This moisturiser is suitable for oily and combination skin, as it is sheer and lightweight. If you are someone who prefers a thicker, more deeply nourishing cream, I would maybe reach for something else, as this is definitely a thinner texture, which doesn’t mimic quite the same feel.

What Does It Feel Like?

With its light texture, this moisturiser glides onto the skin, nourishing your skin without being too thick. The cooling effect, which I pinned on the aloe, I can best describe as the feeling of crisp air on your face, enriching and restorative without feeling cloying or clay-like. I did feel as though this didn’t sink into my skin, and rather sat as a superficial layer on my face. Although, the science would disagree, with skin penetrating ingredients that work without you even realising.

What Does It Smell Like?

The mask has a fresh smell, like a subtle spa visit, which I suppose reflects the product Benefit has created. Smooth and herby, this blend of benevolent ingredients has an almost- earthy smell whilst remaining clean and crisp.

How Do You Use The Product?

Literally just smooth this onto your clean face and neck, daily. Whether you use this morning or night, it literally could not be easier.

What’s Special About The Design?

Whilst similar to the rest of the collection, this moisturiser is definitely the most subtle and sleek of the line. Sticking to a nautical blue, this recycled aluminium tub is embossed with silver and teal bubbles. Whilst it isn’t minimalistic, it is definitely more unassuming than the rest of the line, with a more slick design. The ergonomic tub is not only effective in usage, but also is made of post-consumer recycled materials along with the outer packaging, so you can see your mask reused time and time again.
