Tom Ford Cafe Rose Eau de Parfum Review

Tom Ford Cafe Rose Eau de Parfum Bottle

Tom Ford has unveiled their latest relaunch, Cafe Rose. Originally part of the Private Blend collection, this warm rose aroma now joins the more affordable Signature line. Here’s what remains the same and what’s changed…

This Fragrance Smells Like…

When we spray it, we smell a velvety rose rather than a jammy rose. Cafe Rose’s luxurious aroma feels modern and alluring thanks to a combination of warm spices and sweet coffee notes. It’s a dry, woody floral that will make you imagine a dark red rose rather than a baby pink one.

What’s The Story Behind This Scent?

Tom Ford Cafe Rose is a relaunch. The fashion house has updated the unisex Cafe Rose, originally launched in 2012 as part of their Private Blend collection (with a purple front), relaunching it as part of their Signature line. The scent is very similar, but the main difference between the original and new Cafe Rose perfume is that the rose note is superior in the updated version, and the coffee note plays more of a supporting role.

You Will Love This If…

If you loved the original Cafe Rose, we think you’ll love this updated version – there are differences, but they’re subtle. If you’re new to the perfume, then it’ll appeal to those who like unconventional floral perfumes; this rose fragrance’s dusty quality and spicy warmth make it unique.

This Perfume Smells Similar To:

The 2023 version smells very similar to the 2012 version.

Is Cafe Rose Unisex?

The original Cafe Rose was unisex. However, Tom Ford has made the latest version with women in mind. That said, we firmly believe that scent has no gender – wear what you love!

What’s The Longevity Like?

Cafe Rose has great staying power. Expect to smell it on your skin for up to 6 hours and on your clothes between 10-12 hours.

What’s Special About The Bottle?

The Cafe Rose perfume has a semi-transparent bottle in a burgundy-pink hue, vertical stripes in the glass, and a bronze-toned cap and plaque – we haven’t seen this fragrance bottle design from Tom Ford since they released Noir Femme.
