L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Cream for review

This nourishing cream has got you covered when it comes to combating the 7 signs of ageing. Loaded with 4 extracts of immortelle, a flower often referred to as nature’s retinol, L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Cream is an anti-ageing moisturiser that works hard to turn back time and restore your skin’s radiance.

When I tried this my skin instantly felt glowier and I recognised a visible difference in my skin’s texture after a very short period. Although I’ve not got mature skin, I could see and feel how and why it works, if anti-ageing moisturisers are something you’d be interested in, keep reading…

The Most Important Thing About This Immortelle Divine Youth Cream Is…

This is a super nourishing anti-ageing day and night cream that doesn’t mess around when it comes to restoring youthfulness. After around a week of using this cream, I noticed that the crows’ feet lines around my eyes appeared more blurred. And after reading the proven results, it seems others feel that way too: 95% say radiance is revived, 94% say skin is firmer and 91% say wrinkles look smoothed.

What Skin Type Is It For?

This is a nourishing moisturiser for dry, ageing skin. This cream has proven visible efficiency on wrinkles, firmness, density, tone and texture evenness, and skin’s vibrancy. However, although my skin type isn’t mature, this cream did target the dryness I was experiencing at the time and appeared noticeably glowier after using it.

You Will Love This If…

You’re on the lookout for a moisturiser that combats all 7 main signs of ageing: wrinkles, firmness, skin density, uneven skin tone, uneven skin texture, loss of radiance and age spots. This is a hardworking, youth-restoring face cream with organic, vegan-friendly ingredients. It’s the ideal moisturiser for someone with dry skin, too because it’s super nourishing and has 93% readily biodegradable ingredients.

Hero Ingredients:

Immortelle is nature’s retinol. Powered by 4 immortelle extracts, this face cream battles with the 7 main signs of ageing. So let’s get into it…

Firstly, we have Immortelle Super Extract. This is a natural alternative to synthetic retinol. It’s just as effective on wrinkles, yet gentler on skin and helps to increase skin’s density, boosting collagen and skin renewal for a thicker epidermis. Also, it’s proven to be more efficient than Vitamin C on age-related hyperpigmentation because it reduces melanin production by 53%, for a brighter, younger, more even-looking skin.

Next up, Immortelle Oily Extract. This is rich in Omegas 9 & 6 which are known for their nourishing properties. It maintains the skin’s healthy hydration.

Thirdly, Immortelle Essential Oil. A natural antioxidant that is twice as powerful as Vitamin E. This works to protect the skin from external aggressions such as air pollution.

And finally, Immortelle Aqueous Extract. This powerful antioxidant is rich in polyphenols to help reverse the skin damage caused by external aggressors such as free radicals, pollution and UV radiation.

What Does It Feel Like?

The cream itself feels rich between your fingers, but when I massaged it into my face I noticed how quickly it absorbed into the skin. This formula is non-comedogenic so it doesn’t clog the pores. Skin feels soft and super hydrated after using this moisturiser. People with a drier skin type would benefit from the hydrating properties of this cream, too.

What Does It Smell Like?

It has a pleasant honey-like floral scent. The scent is warming and comforting, it made my skin smell like luxury.

What’s Special About The Design?

Aesthetically, this is luxurious packaging. The moisturiser is packaged in a golden-yellow glass tub with a gold lid to mirror the immortelle used in the formula. Visually, this gives off the vibe that this is luxurious skincare – which it is!
