Clarins Multi-Active Night Cream Dry Skin Review

Clarins Multi-Active Night Cream Dry Skin Review

Clarins has renovated its Multi-Active skincare range, including the Night Cream Dry Skin. As someone in my 30s with eczema-prone skin, I’m the perfect person to tell you about the collection, especially this option for dry skin. Here’s what I learnt while putting it to the test…

You Will Love The Multi-Active Night Cream Dry Skin If…

If you have dry skin and you’re starting to notice the first signs of ageing, this night cream is made for you. The Multi-Active range is made for busy people with stressful lives. Its innovative formula helps counteract the effects of stress on the skin, including premature ageing. If you’re unsure if your skin is showing signs of stress ageing, here are some signs to look out for:

• Enlarged pores

• Uneven skin tone

• Dullness

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• Dehydration

• Hollow features

What Does It Do?

This night cream renews and hydrates the skin while you sleep. It fights the effects of stress on your skin, which can lead to the first signs of ageing, including fine lines and wrinkles. The formula rejuvenates the complexion overnight so that when you awake, your skin looks young, radiant, hydrated and smooth.

How Does It Do It?

Clarins has upgraded this formula for 2024. Now, the night cream contains Clarins’ Skin Charger Complex, which combines an innovative blend of niacinamide (vitamin B3) and organic sea holly extract, which reduces visible signs of ageing, including fine lines and wrinkles, lack of density, and dullness. The moisturiser contains 92% natural ingredients that strengthen the skin’s barrier function, boosting its radiance so that the skin looks more youthful and rested.

What Does It Smell And Feel Like?

It has a rich, nourishing cream texture that won’t overburden your skin. It has a calming, fresh-aromatic scent has been clinically proven to improve sleep quality by 41%. I didn’t think the smell would make much of a difference, but I was wrong. I felt more at ease after applying it – and my husband even commented on how nice and calming it smelt, or in his words “spa-ish”.

Best Place and Time To Use It?

It’s a night cream, so apply this moisturiser before bed. In your skincare routine, it comes after your serum or the final step.

Multi-Active Night Cream Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…

It comes in a heavy glass jar that feels luxurious. Plus, it has a new look for 2024 – it’s a dark pink that’s easy to differentiate from the day cream.

Sustainability and Values…

The jar comes in a carton printed on paper from sustainably managed forests.

My Overall Experience

My skin is particularly dry right now, so the first thing I loved when trying this cream was its texture. It’s a rich, comforting cream that immediately hydrates. It doesn’t all absorb, though, which I love. I hate that feeling after applying moisturiser when you feel like you need to reapply it because it’s all been soaked up. You know this will keep hydrating your skin while you sleep.

I was curious about its stress-relieving scent; I can confirm it was very pampering, and I felt relaxed when applying it. As for whether it helped me to sleep better, that’s hard to tell – I never really have trouble in that area.

When I woke up the first morning after applying it, I could definitely notice that my skin looked healthier and smoother. I usually have prominent fine lines on my forehead, which looked much softer.
