Beauty lovers unite, monthly favourites is back!
Our team have been working hard to handpick April’s best new launches, and after much deliberation, they’ve chosen seven products, which all get their ‘100% repurchase’ stamp of approval.
There’s something for everyone in this lust-list, regardless of budget, sex and skin type, but if you’re fed up of your foundation, or your skin requires a miracle balm, we have a feeling you’ll love these launches just as much as we do (if not more).
#1 GUERLAIN Rouge G Case
Anyone who knows me will know that luxury accessories are my thing; there’s always a mini wish-list on my iPhone of the bags, shoes and sunglasses I’m currently lusting after! I just love matching my accessories to my outfit (it’s the Virgo in me!), and now I have a new way to incorporate this into my makeup collection too, in the form of a lipstick!
Ok, so I know I’m late to the party on this one; however, the new release of Rouge G cases this month from GUERLAIN definitely sparked joy for me, in particular, the Rosy Nude case. It was love at first sight! Now, I’m a nude lipstick kinda gal, always have been, always will be; so when I laid eyes on this case, it didn’t take me long to choose a lipstick shade too (02 Light Beige to be precise) and make a purchase.
I love the concept of Rouge G and the fact that you can interchange the lipsticks and cases to create your perfect combination. The case feels heavy and luxe and is available in a wide range of colours, patterns and textures. It has a built-in mirror for on-the-go application and trust me; you’ll look so sophisticated pulling it out of your bag, no matter where you are or what you’re doing!
#2 Versace Eros Flame
YSL L’Homme has been my signature for 10 years; I thought nothing would take its place, but on a recent shoot, I smelled Eros Flame and decided it was time for my trusty L’Homme to take a hiatus.
Don’t let the bottle or the name deceive you, Eros Flame is fresher than you think, but it’s not generic, as those kinds of scents aren’t for me, I prefer something with a spicy or floral twist, and this fragrance has just that. Whenever I spray Flame, it makes me feel confident, clean and sophisticated. It’s not loud, or in your face, it’s the smell of refinement bottled.
#3 Benefit Hoola Caramel
Hoola has, quite rightly so, achieved legendary status in the beauty sphere. Its no-sparkle, buttery-soft texture and matter than matte finish ticks all the boxes for me, but I’ve found that it’s always been just a tad too light for my skin tone, until now!
When I heard about the new shade extensions, I could hardly contain my excitement, and as soon as I laid eyes on Caramel, I knew that it would be the perfect shade option for me.
A bronzer is at the very top of my beauty staple list (I love to add warmth and dimension), and this one has undoubtedly become a mainstay in my makeup bag as it suits my olive complexion perfectly. I love dusting it just under my cheekbones, jawline and onto my hairline for a natural yet chiselled glow that I can’t get enough of – thank you Benefit!
#4 La Roche-Posay Vitamin C10
If you look back through my ‘team favourites’ inclusions, you may see a few radiance-enhancing formulas pop up, but this one is cut above the rest. Why is simple; not only is Pure Vitamin C10 made with a potent blend of 10% pure vitamin C, but it has a physiological pH of 5.5, which in short means it’s great for sensitive skin.
Now, the above is why I tried Pure Vitamin C10 in the first place, but the results I got are why I haven’t allowed it to leave my side since. The serum itself is a pleasure to apply, very soothing, feels hydrating and a wonderful makeup base I have to add! The overall tone of my complexion is where I saw the most notable differences; after around a week of use, I noticed my entire face just looked much healthier, and I wasn’t applying as much foundation to even my base. Another reason I’ve fallen for C10? The anti-free radical benefits it provides, this is always something I keep front of mind; I may only be 26, but prevention is better than a cure when it comes to fighting signs of ageing.

#5 GIVENCHY Teint Couture Everwear Foundation
When it comes to foundation, I like to stick to what I know. I always look for full coverage and a matte finish, as I’m a hard one to convert; but, the new GIVENCHY foundation instantly drew me in as soon as I discovered it lasts for 24 hours!
A foundation that works as hard as I do, this base has a medium to high coverage, which is buildable and can be adapted to suit those days where you feel you need a little extra. Its waterproof, second-skin formula leaves your skin feeling moisturised and looking glowy throughout the day – it’s a yes from me!
#6 Eucerin Aquaphor
It’s as if Eucerin has been listening to all of us Aquaphor addicts, and finally! They’ve launched a supersize version of this coveted balm; which has made my month – no more bulk ordering for me.
I often get asked, how can a moisturiser be so special? Let me tell you, Aquaphor is a skincare Buddha, here to heal and repair everything and anything. Every Sunday, I slather it on as a sleeping mask, and my skin loves it.
Even if you don’t have dry skin, you can use Aquaphor to groom brows, moisturise cuticles, conceal split ends, and apparently, it’s even princess approved, rumour has it Megan Markle also uses it to highlight her skin.
#7 Klorane Aquatic Mint Shampoo
Commuting to, and working in a busy city isn’t great for your hair and I’ve noticed mine has been feeling dryer and coarser the past few months, which is why I gave the Klorane Anti-Pollution Detox Shampoo with Aquatic Mint a try.
A lot of products take a few uses before you start to notice the results, but with this shampoo, I genuinely felt the difference after the very first wash! My hair was so much softer, smoother and bouncier – plus the mint smelled great! Pairing it up with the Aquatic Mint Conditioner just made things even better.
As a typical guy, I usually grab the cheapest shampoo I can find in the supermarket (or try and get away with ‘borrowing’ my wifes’), but I will definitely be sticking with Klorane Aquatic Mint from now on!
