What Does Prada Paradoxe Smell Like?

From the very first spritz, the Prada Paradoxe fragrance sparkles out of the bottle. Juicy pear and tangerine essence add a fruity flare to the top notes, completed by the zest of bergamot to balance the sweet creamy neroli.

The heart is a delicate floral bouquet, with  crisp white neroli that leaves a refreshing and uplifting trail on the skin – the neroli flowers are picked just after they bloom to ensure a fresh, delicate tone. The neroli and neroli bud essence is are joined by joyful orange flower and jasmine to create an unforgettable white floral trail.

As Prada’s sweet neroli petals start to float away, the fragrance warms into a rich, sensuous base of amber, which adds a subtle touch of spice and sensuality. Delicious warm bourbon vanilla and benzoin resinoid intensify the cosy warm feeling, before the scent lightens on your skin. Paradoxe’s depth, intensity and longevity is perfected through a musky base, which is created using an innovative musk molecule (Serenolide) that is somehow light and yet powerful. In fact, the musk of the base is light enough that you might just be able to notice it from the very first spritz – it’s a perfume paradox.

What’s The Story Behind This Scent?

Prada Paradoxe is designed to represent the very essence of Prada. But it also invites you to explore and express the multiple dimensions of your identity too. Inspired by the concept of being “never the same, always yourself”, Paradoxe is a celebration of self-expression and the power of being able to express femininity in any form.

This has been reflected by master perfumers, Nadège Le Garlantezec, Shyamala Maisondieu and Antoine Maisondieu: the scent might seem delicate and airy at first, but the fragrance is given the space to change and develop with time. The different dimensions of your identity are further represented through the design: bold black hues are juxtaposed by pale pink tones.

You Will Love This If…

So many people will love Prada Paradoxe for different reasons. If you love floral scents, Paradoxe will sweep you away. But, if you are an avid Prada fan, the chic logo-inspired bottle will also be on your wish-list, so you can continue to celebrate the fashion brand by owning the scent of Prada.

If you love the delicate floral bouquets found in Miss Dior 2021 or the sweet neroli signature of Giorgio Armani My Way Floral, you’ll love the dazzling scent of Prada Paradoxe and the warmer, ambery journey it takes you on.

Not familiar with those fragrances? Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum also reminds me of an evening stroll through a garden bursting with fresh flowers.

Is Prada Paradoxe Unisex?

Although we believe that anyone can enjoy any scent – and Prada Paradoxe itself embodies freedom of self-expression – Paradoxe Eau de Parfum is a traditionally feminine fragrance due its floral tones.

What’s The Longevity Like?

When I tried it out on my wrists, Paradoxe lasted over six hours as it warmed to create an intimate, sweet and cosy tone.

What’s Special About The Bottle?

Prada is instantly recognisable, thanks to its triangular logo – and Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum represents this iconic symbol perfectly. Its weighted glass bottle softens the striking triangular shape by adding curved edges, while the bold black cap contrasts the pink in a design that feels very Prada.

The bottle can be refilled over and over, reducing waste and allowing you to enjoy the scent for longer.

Values?

Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum features a refillable design to reduce excess waste – the bottles also use less packaging to reduce weight and amount of glass needed. The amber in the scent is ambrofix a bio-converted amber, to reduce energy waste.
