Fun fact about grapefruit: it’s often compared to vetiver, so it works brilliantly here to prep you for the heart of vetiver. When you reach the heart, you get the smoky greenness of vetiver grass, which is warmed up and energized by a spicy hot blend of nutmeg and pimento. The scent settles soon enough, cosying into a blend of oakmoss and amber woods.

To me, the closest Tom Ford fragrance in the Signature Collection has to be Beau de Jour. They both have a similar clean-cut, cologne-like vibe.

Grey Vetiver is presented as a men’s fragrance, and I can see why; it definitely has a barber shop, cologne-like quality.

As a general guide, Tom Ford’s Eau de Parfum creations last an average of six hours, which I definitely agree with after testing it out on my skin.
