Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? Versace Eros is my fiancé’s fragrance. He makes me feel safe and, whenever I smell this fragrance, it instantly makes me feel calm and at ease. His scent stash is growing nowadays, but this scent always reminds me of him.
2. Armani Stronger With You

Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? The reason I chose Stronger With You here – as cliche as it sounds – is because it’s the first fragrance I bought as a gift for my partner when we got together. And now he wears it all the time. Whenever I get home from work, or he comes back from a trip somewhere, I catch a whiff of it and I immediately feel safe, and any stresses or worries of the day just melt away. It’s gorgeous!
3. Dolce&Gabbana K
Fragrance Pick: Dolce & Gabbana K By Dolce&Gabbana Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? My boyfriend, Kristian, wears Dolce Gabbana K, so it takes only one whiff and it makes me safe, comforted and happy. I love how its warm, sexy and masculine and cosy all at the same time thanks to its addictive mix of herbs, citrus and spice. And, for me, it’s a little more personal as the fragrance is also called King, and that’s Kirstian’s surname, so I feel like the scent is made for him, and the fact I love how it smells on him is a bonus.
4. Atkinsons His Majesty The Oud

Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? Me and my partner first fell in love with Atkinsons when we tried their royalty-worthy Oud collection – we were instantly hooked! Now, my partner, Ben, wears this fragrance nearly everyday and is his favourite fragrance. So, whenever I smell His Majesty The Oud, it reminds me of him, which makes me feel safe and content.
5. Tisserand Bergamot Oil

Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? My home is my safe space, and I work hard to keep it that way! As soon as I’m behind closed doors, I love nothing more than to put my diffuser on, creating a peaceful ambience that makes me feel relaxed and comforted. My favourite? The Tisserand Bergamot Organic Pure Essential Oil.
6. Chloe Nomade Naturelle
Fragrance Pick: Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum Naturelle
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? Chloe Nomade Naturelle is a creamy jasmine-vanilla-infused perfume that never feels intoxicatingly white floral; the jasmine is handled really gently here, which I love. It feels creamy and comforting from the get-go. But, to me, the blend of cosy vanilla and soft sandalwood in the base is what really makes me feel safe; it’s like being wrapped up in a warm, snuggly blanket on a late autumn evening.
On my skin, the vanilla note really jumps out, and vanilla will always remind me of being in my childhood kitchen, my Mum listening to Radio 2 as she bakes, as me and my brother finish off the leftover cake batter in the bowl. I guess eating cake mixture isn’t always the ‘safe’ option (although it never did me any harm), but there’ll always be something safe and comforting about these childhood, vanilla essence-filled memories.
7. Initio Oud for Happiness
Fragrance Pick: Initio Oud for Happiness Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Safe? Initio Oud for Happiness is my partner’s favourite fragrance, and I love smelling it on him. Its cosy spiciness draws me in like a comforting hug. And whenever I smell it, I always think of him; he loves the outdoors, so Oud for Happiness’ smoky, woody touches complement him so well. But what I love the most is that its completely unisex! So, whenever my partner is away for work, and I am anxious or miss him, I will wear this fragrance, and I feel safe because it feels like he’s there with me.
