This Fragrance Smells Like…
Parfums de Marly Greenley is a true celebration of nature’s finest aromas. It’s a vibrant explosion of green with an energetic splash of freshness and a cocktail of fruits thrown in, resulting in a breathtaking scent that pays homage to the earth.
A whirlwind of fruit, citrus, bark and sap, Nathalie Templer’s fragrance exudes a sense of freshness from the very first spritz. Crisp, tangy green apple mingles with sunny Sicilian bergamot, honeyed mandarin and musky-woody cashmere wood in the opening for a bold, electric feel before powdery violet, cedarwood, leafy petitgrain and pomarose cut through in the heart.
Finally, the scent develops a softer, more sensual tone with oakmoss, musk and an elegant amberwood accord marrying together in the base. The overall impression is a scent that feels like a hike through a luscious woodland in the north of France.
What’s The Story Behind This Scent?
As you’d expect from a Parfums de Marly perfume, Greenley honours both nature and French history. The Eau de Parfum is inspired by the setting and surroundings of Château of Marly, one of the finest French palaces commissioned by Louis XIV, which is now an inspiration for Parfums de Marly. The stately home merges into the landscape beautifully, bringing together a sense of luxury, history and a love of nature all in one destination – just like the Greenley scent.

What’s The Longevity Like?
As I now expect from anything Parfums de Marly, Greenley is incredibly long-lasting; it certainly greatly surpasses the standard expectations of an Eau de Parfum (four to six hours). I spritzed the fragrance once on my wrist mid-morning and could still make out its soft, seductive undertone by evening, which is all thanks to the high-quality perfume ingredients that lace this fragrance.
What’s Special About The Bottle?
Like its bottle, Greenley is a source of pure energy. It has a lighter, fresher feel to it compared to lots of other Parfums de Marly fragrances, all thanks to its translucent emerald green glass. Of course, the elegant hue reminds you of the green, woody and mossy notes within, while the weighted flacon still maintains a sense of luxuriance through the geometric silver lid and iconic Parfums de Marly emblem that stands out proudly on the front of the glass.
